1. Acknowledgment of Risk
I, the undersigned participant, acknowledge that participation in soccer and related activities organized by the Tacoma Soccer League (TSL) involves inherent risks of injury, including but not limited to sprains, fractures, concussions, and other physical injuries. I voluntarily assume all such risks, both known and unknown.
2. Release of Liability
In consideration of being permitted to participate in TSL activities, I hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue the Tacoma Soccer League, its organizers, administrators, volunteers, referees, sponsors, field operators, and all other participants from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action that I may have for any loss, damage, or injury arising from my participation in league activities, including but not limited to negligence on the part of the released parties.
3. Medical Authorization
I certify that I am physically fit to participate in recreational soccer activities, having had medical clearance if required. In the event of a medical emergency, I authorize TSL representatives to seek medical assistance on my behalf. I agree to be responsible for any costs incurred.
4. Code of Conduct
I agree to uphold the TSL Code of Conduct at all times — treating fellow players, referees, and staff with respect and sportsmanship. I understand that violations may result in suspension or removal from the league without refund. This includes zero tolerance for harassment, discrimination, or physical altercations.
5. Media Release
I grant TSL the right to photograph or record me during league activities and to use such images and recordings for promotional and community purposes, including on the TSL website and social media channels, without compensation.
6. Indemnification
I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Tacoma Soccer League and its representatives from any claims, damages, or expenses (including attorney's fees) arising out of my participation in TSL activities or any breach of this agreement.
7. Governing Law
This waiver shall be governed by the laws of the State of Washington. If any provision is deemed invalid, the remainder of the agreement shall remain in full effect.
